高通公司已经请求一联邦法官驳回美联邦贸易委员会提起的反垄断诉讼，该起诉讼指控高通借助反竞争行为谋求维持其在无线芯片制造市场的支配地位。
本周一，高通在美国加州San Jose市的地区法院提起动议，声称美联邦贸易委员会对其违反反垄断法、损害市场竞争的指控缺少证据支持。
Qualcomm has asked a federal judge to dismiss a lawsuit filed by the Federal Trade Commission that accuses the wireless chip maker of maintaining its market dominance through anticompetitive behavior.
The company's motion, filed Monday in the US District Court in San Jose, California, contends that the FTC's complaint fails to support claims of antitrust violations or competitive harm.

Smartphone chipmaker Qualcomm has received approval from U.S. antitrust regulators for its proposed $47 billion acquisition of NXP Semiconductors, Qualcomm said in a statement on Tuesday.

周二，三起独立的诉讼指控麦当劳公司涉嫌通过迫使连锁加盟店忍受其垄断行为从而抬高法国、意大利与德国消费者的支出。
根据上述三国劳工与消费者团体向竞争执法机构提出的指控，快餐巨头麦当劳公司迫使其在上述三国加盟店的持有人制定比公司自营店更高的价格，涉嫌滥用其市场支配地位。
该项指控同时还提及，麦当劳向加盟店收取过高房租，且设置不合理条件以阻止加盟店转向其他品牌。
McDonald's (MCD) was accused in three separate complaints Tuesday of improperly driving up consumer costs in France, Italy, and Germany by forcing the company's franchisees to swallow antitrust practices.
The fast-food giant abused its dominant market positions by requiring its franchise holders in the three European nations to display higher prices than those at company-operated sites, according to complaints that labor and consumer groups filed with competition authorities in those countries.
McDonald's also charges excessively higher rents for franchise locations and imposes terms that restrict franchisees from shifting to other brands, the complaints allege.

本周二，欧盟反垄断机构对英国政府最新一次提出的苏格兰皇家银行资产处置方案启动深入调查。
在2008年获得政府紧急救助后，为促进英国银行市场的竞争，苏格兰皇家银行被要求根据欧盟国家援助规则出售旗下约300个分支机构。去年，因无法为其分支机构找到合适买家，且面临重大技术困难和极低利率，该银行决定放弃其售卖分支机构的计划。
为了消弭欧盟的竞争关注，英国政府提议银行花费7.5亿英镑（约合9.39亿美元）来剥离其来自小型公司的客户，以促进相关市场竞争。同时欧盟表示，此项一揽子计划将包括建立一个投资创新金融服务项目的独立基金。
欧盟目前正在评估上述措施是否会实质上促进英国银行市场的竞争。
The European Union's antitrust regulator on Tuesday opened an in-depth probe into the U.K. government's latest proposals for Royal Bank of Scotland Group to dispose of assets.
Following its 2008 government bailout, RBS was required under European Union state aid rules to spin off some 300 branches to boost competition in the U.K. banking market. Last year RBS gave up after failing finding a buyer for the branches, amid huge technological complications and rock-bottom interest rates.
In an attempt to appease EU authorities the U.K. government instead suggested RBS spend 750 million pounds ($939 million) finding ways to move small-business customers off its books and promote more competition. In addition, the package would include an independent fund to invest in innovative financial services, the EU said.
The EU is now trying to evaluate whether these measures would actually increase competition in the U.K. banking market.

On April 5, Japanese authorities have granted unconditional antitrust approval to BAT in relation to its proposed acquisition of RAI, clearing the final antitrust hurdle.

The China National Chemical Corp, or ChemChina, has won U.S. antitrust approval to buy Switzerland's Syngenta AG on condition that it divest three products, the Federal Trade Commission said on Tuesday.
The $43 billion deal, which was announced in February 2016, was prompted by China's desire to use Syngenta's portfolio of top-tier chemicals and patent-protected seeds to improve domestic agricultural output.

江苏省工商局查明，宿迁市中石油昆仑燃气有限公司没有正当理由限定房地产开发企业的燃气管道安装工程只能与其进行交易、限定房地产开发企业燃气管道安装工程中所需用的施工材料只能由当事人提供，其行为违反了《中华人民共和国反垄断法》第十七条第一款第（四）项禁止性规定，责令当事人停止违法行为，并处罚款2505万元。
As found by Jiangsu AIC, Suqian Petrochina Kunlun Gas Co., LTD restrict real estate enterprises to deal with itself exclusively on the installation of gas pipelines, as well as restrict estate enterprises to use the installation materials exclusively supplied by itself without a valid reason, which violates the Subparagraph 4, Paragraph 1, Article 17 of Anti-monopoly Law. The company has been ordered to cease the illegal activity and imposed a fine of 25.05 million RMB.

广西工商局经调查查明，河池市保险行业协会组织河池市9家保险企业签订《摩托车保险业务自律协议》，组织达成、实施垄断协议，违反了反垄断法的有关规定。当事人被要求责令停止违法行为，并处以十万元罚款。
As found by Guangxi AIC, Insurance Association in Hechi organized 9 insurance companies to sign Self-Discipline Contrast on Motorbike Insurance Business, which violates the horizontal co-operation rules of Anti-monopoly Law. The Association has been ordered to cease illegal activity and imposed a fine of 100 thousand RMB.
